Just a reminder!
We have come down to the last days of school, but please remember that dress code must be followed. Tanks tops and flip flops are not allowed. The general code of appearance policies for elementary students can be found on the www.duvalschools.org website.

Animal Arts Contest
The City of Jacksonville’s Animal Care and Control Division invites Duval County students to participate in its Animal Arts Contest. They are asking students of all ages to draw, color, paint or sculpt a rendering of their favorite household animal. Contest winners will be selected per grade level and will have their art displayed in the new Animal Care and Control Shelter. Winners will also receive an award which will be presented during the grand opening of the new shelter later this summer.
Turn in all drawings, paintings, and colorings to Mrs. Lammi by May 19th. You will need to bring in 1 postage stamp also. Please use white computer paper for your entries!

Thank you
Thank you to all the parents who went on the Islands of Adventure Field Trip with us. Everyone had a great time and it was nice to be away from school. I appreciate all of you more than you know!

Fight the Couch
We are enjoying fighting the couch. So far during the campaign we have logged in over 10,000 activity minutes. We are continuing our campaign until May 22nd. If we win, we will definitely need to do some celebrating!!!!
Career Day 2009
Austin gave us a thumbs up to let us know that he was ok! Whew! We were worried!!!
The class was introduced to two members of the JSO S.W.A.T team. We were super impressed and are all thinking about an intersting career for our future. We got to go inside the S.W.A.T van and check it all out. It was totally cool!You guys looked awesome at the 2nd Annual 5th Grade Formal here at Sheffield. You guys have grown up so fast this year and are soon to be heading off to Middle School. You have been an amazing bunch whom I have enjoyed getting to know. I enjoyed seeing you all have a great night all dressed up and dancing. I hope that it was a night that you will always remember!!
